San Francisco Family Photos at Ocean Beach
As a family photographer for over a decade, family photos in San Francisco are some of my favorite things to take. From big families to small, the beach to the forest, San Francisco is a beautiful place for family photos of all kinds. This session at Ocean Beach with a darling family with one child is something that I’m pinning to my own inspiration board for my family photos.
In my Ocean Beach location inspiration posts, I featured sunny days and foggy days, because those are the most common types of weather there. However, on this day, it was delightfully overcast, making the weather not too cold and the sky dark and moody. I can’t tell you what it was in the air but the birds were all over, which lead to them being like another family member in these photos. We had a blast chasing them, running around Ocean Beach dunes with sand between our toes, and playing the in foamy parts of the water line (at a safe distance from the waves, of course!).
This family did exactly what they were supposed to in their family photos, they let loose and leaned in to the fun and chaos, allowing their daughter’s personality to shine through their images, and all of the love that their family had on full display.
