First Year Photo Package

When families bring a new baby into the world, they want to document all of the special moments. There’s pregnancy, then the hospital, the first days of newborn sweetness at home, and then all the big milestones your baby hits before their first birthday like sitting up and maybe even walking! It can also be hard to take good pictures of all of those moments because you may not know how, or, like most of us, you just don’t set aside time because there’s so much to do. That’s where first year photo packages come in.

Since each family is different, I don’t offer set first year photo packages. Instead, I talk to each family and see what fits them best. Maybe they want an outdoor maternity session at one of my amazing San Francisco or Marin photoshoot locations, paired with a hospital fresh 48 session, and then a 6 month sitter session in the studio and an in-home session to celebrate the baby’s first year. They would come to me, tell me what’s most important to them (digital images, an album of all of their sessions, prints or a combination), and we would create a package that works for them. These packages provide a better value than if you booked each photoshoot separately, and it means that you have one photographer for it all so I can get to know your family well and know exactly what works for you for your sessions and the final images.

This family had their pregnancy in the fall, so they had a seasonal mini session during pregnancy at the amazing Cavallo Point Eucalyptus Grove in Marin, then they did an in-home session for their newborn at their Bay Area home, and then did a milestone session for baby in the Sausalito studio at 3 months. We just had this session and it was so fun to see the baby again and see how much she’s grown. This family also did what many families do, which is to try out a session with me for their first time, and then when they decide they love the photos, they feel confident in booking future sessions with me and know that they will love the images. If that’s more your vibe and you don’t want to book everything at once, that’s totally cool, too. If you book more than one session in a calendar year, just reach out and we can craft a package for you that works after your first session.
