Let’s be friends!

I know you are expecting me to tell you how passionate I am about photography here, and don't get me wrong, taking pictures of parents and their people makes me weepy just thinking about it. However, if we are going to be friends (and we are), you should probably know a little more about me.

My husband, daughters and I all lived in a 500 sq. ft. apartment for years in the heart of San Francisco. We finally bought a house in Marin and all we could talk about the entire time we were moving was how we now had the luxury of two whole bathrooms. Anyone with a potty-training toddler knows what's up.

I'm crazy obsessed with people's homes. I would shoot in someone's one bedroom, one window, plastic toy-filled apartment any day of the week. Low light? Ugly kitchen? Cramped spaces? I'm here for it. Throw in a couple of kids for some added chaos and I'm in heaven.

I have a thing for making sure moms are in their memories with their kids. I started the #itsmomchallenge a few years ago as a campaign to get moms in the picture with their kids. We've had hundreds of people participate across the world.

My two girls are hell-on-wheels. My oldest is obsessed with Halloween, paints every day, and sneaks out of bed at night to take pictures with her Polaroid camera. My youngest runs into traffic at full speed, eats raw broccoli by the fistful, and will probably steal our car in high school.
