Holiday Tradition Mini Sessions
Some of my favorite memories of my childhood come from the traditions my family had, from our annual beach trip, to Easter egg hunts well into our twenties, and of course, the many, many traditions that surround Christmas. Even now, when I walk into a bakery in December, I’m brought back to the smells of making cookies with my mom and grandma.
These beautiful moments are things your family will cherish forever, and I want to help you remember them. This year, I’m offering Holiday Tradition Mini Sessions. These 30 minute sessions happen in your home in San Francisco or Marin, and center around a holiday tradition. You can be unwrapping presents, trimming the tree, making cookies or other special holiday food with your kids or decorating gingerbread houses. You can also just get into festive pajamas and read a book that is special to you for the holidays. While my personal winter holiday traditions are Christmas based, any seasonal tradition in your home is welcome! These Holiday Tradition Mini Sessions center around the activity and documenting all of those special memories created for your family. They are not like traditional outdoor mini-sessions where we are working on everyone smiling and looking and getting all of the combinations of family members. We will take one ‘formal’ family photo, but everything else will be candid. I will be directing you to make sure we are set up in great light and the photos are flattering, but they will be interactive versus posing/directing like my other sessions. Since these are short sessions, please only have one activity to focus on. If you’d like more, please book a signature in-home session.
These are perfect for families who want to remember their seasonal traditions in a beautiful way with a Holiday Tradition Mini Session. They can be scheduled mid-November through late December, but if your tradition happens earlier or later than what’s available, please let me know and we can work something out.
