Halloween Costume Photos for Bay area kids

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday and as soon as I had kids I started taking Halloween costume photos of them all around the Bay Area. From Harry Pottery photos in front of the coolest college campus in Marin that looks like a castle, to princess photos on the beautiful grand staircase in San Francisco’s city hall, to provincial Belle photos in front of darling little cottages in Berkeley, themed Halloween photos with my kids were my thing for years.

Then my kids got older, the costume planning got closer to Halloween and more kid-led (why do they always decide to change their minds a week before Halloween?!) and elaborate themed photos just weren’t practical. That’s when I started doing their costume photos in the studio, and family and friends loved them so much, I started offering them to Bay Area families!

These are perfect for fellow Halloween lovers who want to document their sweet kiddos before they have to cover their costumes up with jackets for the evening and all you get is a blurry photo in the fading light as they rush off excitedly to get candy.

These Bay Area Halloween costume photos are held in my Sausalito studio on a black backdrop to set the Halloween mood, or can be done on all white if your costumes have a lighter vibe.

You can either select a kids portrait, which are short, 10 minute sessions meant for one child, or a mini family session if you are into family costume themes (which I am!). These are available to be booked officially in August through October at one of my studio dates, but can unofficially be booked year-round if your kiddo loves a particular costume that they never take off and you want to commemorate it.
